Download the App
The AuralSync app is available for free on both platforms:
- Android: Search "AuralSync" on Google Play, or "LF Audio" to find it
- iOS: Search "AuralSync" on the App Store, or "LF Audio" to find it
First Launch
When you open the app for the first time, it will request permissions needed for Bluetooth communication:
- Bluetooth: required to connect to your LF Audio devices. On iOS, the app shows a dedicated "Bluetooth Permission Required" screen if you initially deny it, with a one-tap link to open the system settings.
- Location (Android only): required by Android for Bluetooth scanning. The app does not track or store your location.
- Notifications (optional): enables background firmware update alerts, chat replies, and warranty / RMA status updates.
Grant all requested permissions for the best experience. Without Bluetooth and location permissions, the app cannot discover devices.
The app also shows a one-time sign-in prompt the first time it launches. You can skip this and sign in later from the Settings tab, but signing in early lets the app remember your devices, sessions, and registered account across phones.
Finding Your Device
- Power on your LF Audio device and make sure it is not connected to another phone.
- Open the AuralSync app and tap the Scan tab.
- The app begins scanning automatically. Your device will appear in the list within a few seconds.
- Tap your device to begin connecting.
If your device doesn't appear, make sure it is powered on and within Bluetooth range (typically 10 to 30 feet). See Troubleshooting if scanning fails.
Pairing
When you tap a device for the first time, the app initiates Bluetooth pairing:
- A pairing dialog appears on your phone.
- Enter the PIN code for your device. Most LF Audio devices ship with a default PIN listed in your device's documentation; HPVM Pro and other devices with their own touchscreen display the current PIN on screen.
- Tap Pair to confirm.
- The app connects and begins loading device data.
Once paired, your device appears on the Devices tab. The app will automatically reconnect to it in future sessions.
If pairing fails repeatedly, your phone may have a stale Bluetooth bond. Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings, find the device, tap "Forget," then try pairing again in the app. See Troubleshooting for more details.
Connection States
After pairing, your device can be in one of these states:
| State | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Connected | Active Bluetooth connection. Real-time data is flowing. |
| Reconnecting | Connection dropped. The app is automatically trying to reconnect. |
| Disconnected | Device is out of range or powered off. Tap the device card to retry. |
| Bonded (offline) | Previously paired but not currently broadcasting. Will auto-connect when the device is powered on nearby. |
When your phone has no internet connection, the app shows a small offline banner at the top of the screen. Bluetooth connections and live monitoring still work, but cloud features (sign-in, recording uploads, firmware update checks) wait until you are back online.
