What Is the Mesh Network?
The WVC wireless mesh allows you to link multiple WVC base units together so a single knob can control all of them. Channel groups can span channels across different physical units, giving you unified control of a large multi-amplifier system.

Pairing additional WVC units into a mesh requires firmware 3.6.0 or newer on your WVC. If the Add Unit button is unavailable, update your firmware. See Firmware Updates.
Viewing Mesh Units
- Connect to your primary WVC in the AuralSync app.
- Tap the gear icon to open device settings.
- Scroll to the Mesh Network tab.
The tab shows all registered units in the mesh:

The primary unit is always listed first. Secondary units show their real-time connection status and signal strength.
On the WVC-PRO 6, the same mesh view is available on the base station touchscreen under Settings > Devices, where you can also remove a unit or leave the mesh. This requires firmware 4.4.0 or newer.
Adding a Secondary Unit
To add another WVC unit to the mesh:
- Get the unit you want to add ready. A new WVC that was never paired only needs to be powered on. A unit you have used before must be reset first. Hold its reset button for about 3 seconds. Its front light starts to flash. This erases its settings and any knobs or displays paired to it.
- In the app, tap Add Unit on the Mesh Network tab.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Start the pairing on a knob or display:
- Single, Dual, Concentric or Quad Knob: Advanced > Pair Additional WVC.
- RTC, WDD-LITE, BassWatch, WVC Dual PRO Knob or WVC Quad PRO Knob: Advanced > Pair WVC. The WDD-LITE, BassWatch and PRO knobs need firmware 4.12.3 or newer.
- The app detects the new unit automatically when pairing completes.
Caution: Do not press the reset button three times to add a unit. Three quick presses only let a knob or display pair with it. They cannot link it to your system.
Once you select Start, Pair WVC ends with a restart. This is true on the RTC, a PRO knob, WDD-LITE and BassWatch. The screen shows Restarting first. Then the device reconnects to your own base station. This happens even if you leave part way. On the RTC, this needs firmware 4.12.4 or newer.
If the new unit cannot be linked, these devices tell you why. You see Update Needed, Not Compatible, Already Linked, Reset Needed or Not Added. Each offers Retry and Cancel. On the RTC, this needs firmware 4.12.4 or newer. See Linking Units for what each one means.
You start the pairing on one of the knobs or displays above, not in the app. The app watches for the new unit to appear in the mesh.
Removing a Unit
To remove a secondary unit from the mesh:
- Find the unit in the list.
- Tap the remove button next to it.
- Confirm the removal.
The unit is removed from the mesh.
If the removed unit is on and connected, it resets itself to factory settings. This erases all of its settings.
Removing a unit also removes any channel assignments associated with that unit's channels. You may need to reconfigure your channel groups afterward.
