Multi-Unit Mesh Management

basic

What Is the Mesh Network?

The WVC wireless mesh allows you to link multiple WVC base units together so a single knob can control all of them. Channel groups can span channels across different physical units, giving you unified control of a large multi-amplifier system.

For a full explanation of mesh networking, see Channel Groups and Multi-Unit Control.

Note

The Mesh Network tab requires firmware 3.6.0 or newer on your WVC. If you don't see this tab, update your firmware — see Firmware Updates.

Viewing Mesh Units

  1. Connect to your primary WVC in the AuralSync app.
  2. Tap the gear icon to open device settings.
  3. Scroll to the Mesh Network tab.

The tab shows all registered units in the mesh:

Field Description
Unit name Hardware model (e.g., WVC-PRO, WVC-LITE-6)
Status Connected (online) or offline
Signal strength Wireless signal quality between units
Role Primary (base station) or Secondary

The primary unit is always listed first. Secondary units show their real-time connection status and signal strength.

Adding a Secondary Unit

To add another WVC unit to the mesh:

  1. Power on the new WVC unit.
  2. In the app, tap Add Unit on the Mesh Network tab.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions — you will need to use your knob or RTC to complete the pairing process (Advanced > Pair Additional WVC).
  4. The app detects the new unit automatically when pairing completes.
Note

The pairing process is initiated from the knob or RTC, not from the app. The app monitors for the new unit to appear in the mesh.

Removing a Unit

To remove a secondary unit from the mesh:

  1. Find the unit in the list.
  2. Tap the remove button next to it.
  3. Confirm the removal.

The unit is de-registered from the mesh and will no longer respond to the primary unit's commands.

Warning

Removing a unit also removes any channel assignments associated with that unit's channels. You may need to reconfigure your channel groups afterward.
