The BassWatch is a wrist-worn AMOLED touchscreen that pairs with an LF Audio device and shows its live telemetry on your wrist. It is a wireless companion display and controller, not a standalone measuring device: everything it shows comes from the device it is paired to. Depending on which device that is, it shows system voltage, per-group volume, amplifier temperature, and live audio analysis, and on a WVC base station it can adjust the volume and settings without reaching for a knob or a phone.
The BassWatch pairs with a wide range of the AuralSync family: the WVC wireless volume controllers, the SSA Smart Signal Analyzer, the WTH Wireless Temperature Hub, and the HPVM High Precision Voltmeters. It connects to the WVC, SSA, and WTH over the AuralSync wireless link, and to an HPVM voltmeter over Bluetooth. It pairs with one device at a time, and the views and settings it offers adapt automatically to whatever it is connected to.
Unlike the wired displays in the AuralSync family, the BassWatch runs on an internal rechargeable battery and charges over USB-C. There is no harness and nothing to wire into the vehicle. Because its clock and battery are its own hardware, it works as a watch even with no device paired: it always starts on a watch face, and pairing is something you choose to do when you want live data.
Navigation is by touch. There is no rotary encoder. You swipe, tap, and long-press to move between views and open menus. A side button opens the menu from any screen.
Key Features
- Wrist-worn AMOLED touchscreen: a bright, high-contrast display you read at a glance on your wrist
- Works as a watch on its own: an idle clock face with the time, date, and battery that works whether or not a device is paired (see Watch Faces)
- Pairs across the AuralSync family: WVC base stations, the SSA analyzer, and the WTH temperature hub over the AuralSync wireless link, plus HPVM voltmeters over Bluetooth (see the compatibility table below)
- On-demand monitoring: tap into a full monitoring screen with a mode tab bar; which tabs appear depends on the connected device
- Battery powered: an internal rechargeable battery, charged over USB-C, with an on-screen battery gauge
- Touch control: swipe between views, tap mode tabs, and long-press to open the menu, all with a bare finger, plus a side button that opens the menu from anywhere
- Optional raise-to-wake: turn on Tilt to Wake in Settings to wake the screen with a wrist raise; you can always wake it with a tap or the side button
- Volume control (WVC base stations): adjust your system's master or per-group volume straight from your wrist
- Live audio visualization: an FFT spectrum analyzer, an oscilloscope, and a waterfall on devices that provide audio analysis (the WVC-PRO, WVC-PRO 6, and SSA)
- Base station control (WVC): adjust IDS mode, competition mode, RCA gain, volume curve, voltage calibration, and more, sent straight to your WVC base station
- Over-the-air firmware updates: update the BassWatch, and update a connected base station, wirelessly
- Adjustable brightness: 10-100% display brightness to match your environment
- Four display orientations: Landscape, Landscape Flipped, Portrait, and Portrait Flipped, so the watch reads correctly on either wrist
- Customizable colors: 16 built-in themes plus per-element color overrides, the same palette used across the WDD-LITE and RTC
- Encrypted communication: AuralSync encryption is negotiated automatically during pairing where the device supports it
Compatible Devices
The BassWatch works with the following LF Audio devices. The monitoring views and settings it offers adapt automatically to whichever one it is paired with:
| Device | Connection | Available Views |
|---|---|---|
| WVC-PRO | AuralSync | Volts, Volume, Temperature (1 probe), FFT, Oscilloscope, Waterfall |
| WVC-PRO 6 | AuralSync | Volts, Volume, Temperature (3 probes), FFT, Oscilloscope, Waterfall |
| WVC / WVC-LITE / WVC-LITE 6 | AuralSync | Volts, Volume |
| SSA (Smart Signal Analyzer) | AuralSync | FFT, Oscilloscope, Waterfall (up to 4 channels) |
| WTH (Wireless Temperature Hub) | AuralSync | Temperature (multi-channel) |
| HPVM / HPVM-12 / HPVM-24 / HPVM-440 | Bluetooth | Volts (2 channels) |
| HPVM-PRO | Bluetooth | Volts (4 channels) |
The BassWatch pairs with one device at a time. See First Boot and Pairing for setup, and Display and Navigation for a tour of every view.
What the Mode Tabs Show
The monitoring screen carries a row of mode tabs. Which tabs appear depends entirely on the connected device's capabilities, so a WVC base shows different tabs than an SSA analyzer, a WTH temperature hub, or an HPVM voltmeter:
| Tab | Shows | Appears On |
|---|---|---|
| VOLTS | System voltage as a large reading over a scrolling trend, with a min/max readout. On a multi-channel HPVM, one cell per voltage channel | WVC base stations; HPVM voltmeters (per channel) |
| VOLUME | Per-channel-group volume faders (or a single master fader), adjustable by touch | WVC base stations |
| TEMP | Amplifier or sensor temperature over a scrolling trend | A WVC-PRO / WVC-PRO 6 (amplifier probes) or a WTH (multi-channel) |
| FFT | A real-time frequency spectrum of the channels | WVC-PRO / WVC-PRO 6; SSA |
| SCOPE | A real-time oscilloscope waveform of the channels | WVC-PRO / WVC-PRO 6; SSA |
| WFALL | A waterfall of the audio spectrum over time, switchable between a 3D mountain-range and a 2D spectrogram style | WVC-PRO / WVC-PRO 6; SSA |
Volume control and base station settings (IDS, RCA gain, and so on) are features of the WVC base stations. An SSA, a WTH, or an HPVM is a read-only source on the BassWatch: it shows that device's data but has no volume or base settings to adjust.
How It Differs From the Wired Displays
The BassWatch, the WDD-LITE, and the RTC all display telemetry from and control an AuralSync device, but they differ in form and power:
| BassWatch | WDD-LITE | RTC | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Form | Wrist-worn watch | Flat-panel display | Gauge / flat-mount controller |
| Screen | AMOLED touchscreen | 2.41" rectangular AMOLED | 1.5" circular AMOLED |
| Power | Internal battery, USB-C charge | Vehicle 12 V or USB-C | Vehicle 12 V or USB-C |
| Input | Touch (swipe / tap / long-press) and a side button | Touch only | Touch and a rotary encoder |
| Idle screen | Watch face (clock + glance stats) | Live monitoring | Live monitoring |
The BassWatch is the only display in the family you wear. Its idle screen is a watch face, and monitoring is one tap away when you want it.
