Android Home Screen Widgets

basic

Overview

The LF Audio AuralSync app for Android supports home screen widgets that display live voltage readings from your HPVM or HPVM Pro without needing to open the app. Widgets update in real time and can be customized with per-channel colors and refresh rates. Multiple widgets can be added simultaneously — one per device — making it easy to monitor both an HPVM and an HPVM Pro side by side on your home screen.

Adding a Widget

  1. On your Android home screen, press and hold on an empty area to enter edit mode.
  2. Tap Widgets from the menu that appears.
  3. Scroll through the widget list and find LF Audio.
  4. Select the Device Shortcut widget style.
  5. Press and hold the widget, drag it to your desired location on the home screen, and release.
  6. Resize the widget by dragging its edges — larger widgets display more channels.
  7. Tap the widget to open the configuration screen.

Configuring a Widget

After placing the widget, a configuration screen will appear with the following options:

  • Device selection — Choose which connected device (HPVM or HPVM Pro) this widget should display.
  • Streams — Select which voltage channels to display. For a standard HPVM, select the channels you have wired. For an HPVM Pro with all four voltage inputs connected, all four streams can be enabled.
  • Refresh rate — Set how frequently the widget polls for updated voltage data.
  • Channel colors — Assign a custom color to each channel. This is useful when different channels represent different measurement points (e.g., front battery vs. rear battery). Once configured, the widget will begin displaying live voltage data on your home screen.

Using Multiple Widgets

You can add more than one widget to monitor multiple devices simultaneously:

  • Add a larger widget for an HPVM Pro displaying all four channels.
  • Add a smaller widget for a standard HPVM displaying a single channel. Each widget is independently configured and updates in real time as voltage changes.

Notes

  • Widgets are an Android-only feature at this time.
  • Channel naming (to label what each channel represents) is a planned feature and was not yet available at the time of this article. Check for app updates for the latest additions.
  • The widget reflects the same live voltage data visible in the app's graph view — changes are visible on the widget in real time.
