The WTH (Wireless Temperature Hub), the Multi-Probe Monitor, is a wireless temperature monitoring hub that helps protect your car audio system from the heat that extreme builds generate. It puts every temperature you care about (subwoofer voice coils, amplifier heatsinks, power terminals, battery posts) on one color touchscreen, so you can catch a problem before it damages hardware.
The WTH is built for installers and competitors who push their systems hard. If you run high power, long demos, or a burp-heavy competition setup, heat is the failure you cannot see coming. The hub watches up to eight temperatures at once and warns you the moment any one of them crosses your limit.
What It Is
The WTH is a standalone monitoring hub with a color touchscreen on the front, a single front button, and a status light. You wire it to vehicle power, connect your sensors, and it begins displaying live temperatures right away. Nothing needs a phone or a base station to run: the hub reads the sensors, shows the readings, tracks minimums and maximums, and raises a visual alarm entirely on its own.
Sensors are wired, not paired. You plug each sensor in and its channel appears on the dashboard on its own. There is no pairing step for the sensors themselves.
Key Features
- Color touchscreen dashboard: a home screen titled "TEMPERATURES" that shows one tile per connected sensor, each with the channel name, the current reading, and a running minimum and maximum. Tiles re-pack automatically as sensors come and go.
- Up to 8 sensors: monitor as many as eight temperatures at once, up to four non-contact infrared sensors plus up to four contact probes, in any mix.
- Visual over-temp alarm: set one temperature limit for the whole system. When any channel reaches it, that tile and the status dot recolor to a warning state, so an over-temp is obvious at a glance.
- Peak Hold for infrared: an optional voice-coil mode that briefly holds the peak reading, so an infrared sensor aimed at a moving cone still captures the true high point.
- App and wireless display integration: view live temperatures on your phone through the LF Audio AuralSync app, and mirror readings to LF Audio wireless displays placed around the vehicle.
- Over-the-internet firmware updates: keep the hub current using your home WiFi, updated straight from the touchscreen or the AuralSync app.
The over-temp alarm is visual only. The hub recolors the tile and the status dot, but it has no buzzer and no switched output, so plan to keep the screen (or a paired display) where you can see it.
What You Can Monitor
The WTH reads two kinds of sensor, and you can combine them freely:
- Non-contact (infrared): the WTH Infrared Sensor reads a surface temperature without touching it. On a shielded cable, you aim it at a hot surface such as a subwoofer motor or voice-coil area. This is ideal for spinning or moving parts you cannot physically attach to.
- Contact (probe): the Thermocouple Temperature Probe attaches directly to the surface or terminal you want to watch and plugs into one of the probe jacks. Use it for amplifier heatsinks, power terminals, and battery posts. It comes in 1 m, 2 m, and 3 m cable lengths.

The hub runs on 9 to 18 V DC vehicle power through a pluggable terminal block, with a remote turn-on input so it powers up and down with your system. It is reverse-polarity protected and internally fused; even so, run an inline fuse on the +12V lead. An external screw-on antenna handles the wireless links to your phone and to displays such as the WDD, WDD-LITE, and WVC Knob.
