Overview
On Android, you can add AuralSync widgets to your home screen for at-a-glance monitoring of your LF Audio devices. Each widget displays live data from a specific device and channel without needing to open the app.
Home screen widgets are currently available on Android only.
Adding a Widget
- Long-press on an empty area of your Android home screen.
- Select Widgets from the menu.
- Find the AuralSync widget and drag it to your home screen.
- The widget configuration screen opens automatically.
Configuring a Widget
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Device | Select which paired device this widget monitors |
| Channel | Choose which data stream to display (voltage, temperature, etc.) |
| Refresh Rate | How often the widget updates (1–10 times per second). Higher rates use more battery. |
| Show Graph | Toggle whether to display a mini graph alongside the current value |
A refresh rate of 2 Hz (the default) provides a good balance between responsiveness and battery life. Higher rates are useful for active monitoring but will increase battery drain.
Using Widgets
- The widget displays the current value from your selected device and channel.
- Tap the widget to open the AuralSync app and navigate directly to that device's monitoring screen.
- The widget updates automatically while the app is running in the background.
The widget requires the AuralSync app to be running (at least in the background) and connected to the device via Bluetooth. If the app is force-closed or the device is out of range, the widget will show the last known value.
Removing a Widget
Long-press the widget on your home screen and drag it to Remove or tap the X icon, depending on your Android launcher.
